1. EVENTS
There shall be 4 events at The Cambridge Tennis Festival 2012
Saturday 17th March
- Men's Open Doubles
- Ladies Open Doubles
Sunday 18th March
- Mixed Open Doubles
- 'Turbo Tennis' Family Tournament
These events shall all be knockout draws (with the exception of the Turbo Tennis), and with sufficient entry, there will also be a consolation draw in each event.
The Turbo Tennis event will comprise of round robin groupings where each doubles pair must include family members e.g. father/son, mother/daughter, sister/brother etc. Any family combination is acceptable. This will involve 1 set of normal doubles except in each game, the game is won by the pair that reach 30 first. So at 15-15, the next point wins the game. A great fun way to take on other family combinations!!
1A: AGE RESTRICTION
There is no age restriction for any of the events, as the idea of this great tennis festival is to be completely inclusive of anyone who wants to give it a go at winning the inaugural trophies, and having a super time doing so!
2. SEEDINGS
Top Dog Rankings will be used for seeding purposes. However there is no need to have a Top Dog ranking to enter the tournament. For the purposes of seeding it is advised that you enter your ranking on the entry form if you have one though.
3. ENTRY COST
- $25 for one event (Mens/Ladies or Mixed)
- $35 for 2 events, PLUS FREE entry into the Turbo Tennis Family Tournament (optional!)
- $10 for Turbo Tennis Family Competition
- Cheques are to be made to Cambridge Racquets Club and included with the entry form.
