Ian Bishop - Director of Coaching & Programme Development

Ian has worked at a variety of clubs and academies in the UK, and after graduating in a BSc (Business Administration) degree in 2006, began running an events firm before going back to his passion for tennis. Having started playing tennis at the age of 6, Ian moved up to county level while pursuing a coaching career from the age of 13! This experience has  set him in good stead to provide the best possible coaching environment for the Racquets Club, continuing to produce a steady stream of talented juniors and recruit equally talented and passionate coaches.

Ian was voted Tennis Waikato Coach of the Year 2009 and also commits time as a Young Enterprise Scheme business mentor.
